“I Was Prince’s Private Chef” (almost)

I love reading articles, posts, even whole books aloud.

(Not all at once…my biggest accomplishment to date, The Great Gatsby, took awhile.) So…why not record myself and see how it goes?

I sent in a submission to Audible about a week ago, and have yet to hear from them, but I’m sure they get submissions all the time. I’m okay waiting, and I have very little expectation I’ll be chosen, but like I said, I enjoy reading, so I’ll just ask for advice if they politely decline.

At the risk of invoking the ire of Food and Wine Magazine and its writer, an erstwhile chef by the name of Margaret Wetzler, I wanted to cut my teeth on Wetzler’s article detailing her fascinating experience…well, read the title of this post. So I recorded myself here. Obviously, there are some mistakes here and there, and I merely spoke into my phone, when I would have loved to have a microphone that minimizes pops and breath sounds. But it’s a start. Hope you enjoy!

UPDATE: Apparently WP requires a monthly fee for uploading audio. Hmm. Gonna have to think about this a bit… So, sorry for now. If I decide to upgrade, you’ll hear from me right here. Until then…maybe Blogger or some other site will work for now?
