Recovery, please.

Please God, let me be getting better.

I’ve been doing somewhat better since starting another medication. Doubling up now, weaning on slowly so I don’t aggravate what is the #1 (side) effect of the new one: dizziness. I’ve also noticed some improved energy…sporadically. Today, it was enough for me to get in my first hard-core workout in a few months. And by hard-core, I mean squatting, bench pressing, and inverse rowing 65 pounds for 5 sets/5 reps. I’m currently quaffing my post-workout shake and feeling pretty exhausted. A nap may be in my near future. But so far, no undue dizziness. Give me another few weeks, and I may just be on my way out of Keppraville. It can’t come soon enough…this stuff has been horrendous. Oh, and my liver enzymes remain elevated. The neurologist is not open to speculation, but I think it’s reasonable to think that 20 years of meds that fuck with your liver is a lot to recover from, and it’s not going to occur overnight. I’m inclined to be more patient on this point.
