Latest score: carrot, ginger, cardamom, and orange shrub.
The color on its own is…well, orange, as you’d expect. Diluted in just plain water, it turns the most heavenly light orange you could imagine. And it tastes delightful.
However. A shot of this creation mixed in a vodka tonic? Ennh. It’ll do, but just for tonight. My eyes, lungs, and liver all appreciate it (aside from the vodka, bien sûr), but…well, it’s an acquired taste, let’s just leave it at that.
So my taste buds may be ambivalent, but my body certainly seems to have an affinity for this shrub. I feel awfully happy and light drinking this. And I’m not lying about the color. I just can’t help but think anyone would feel better drinking something that looks like this. (Naturally, that is. No FD&C dyes of any sort here.)
